I interveiwed middle school age clients to create an entertaining and interactive project they could enjoy. After learning a little more about them from the interveiw I decided on building a website controlled crossbow that can be aimed via the website to rotate and fire the cross bow to pop balloons. A key challenge of this project was creating a gear track strong enough to pull back the arrow and a mechanism to hold and release the arrows as well. This system utalized a fullstack website with a safety locking feature as well as power and aim aidjustments that could be input by the user. The students were remote at their school location so they used this device virtually actuating robotics commands from miles away performing a percision shot at the balloons.
